Who are we?
We are two artists who love to share our experiences, passions and perspectives of Northern-Norway. We specialise in Northern Lights tours, fjords tours, and photo and art workshops.
Our mission is to hunt the Northern Lights, to inspire, and to have fun. Our tours leave you with more than memories and photos of the breathtaking landscape.
You will get an authentic experience, connection with nature, culture, art and local histories. If you’re lucky there may even be a troll story next to a bonfire.
We speak Spanish, French, English, and Norwegian!
Silvia & Vidar met while travelling in a small village in Chile many years ago. Enjoying each other’s company, they decided to start traveling together.
Many years later they settled in Montreal, Canada where Silvia spent most of her youth and adult life.
Twenty years ago, they moved back to Vidar’s homeland, Tromsø, to share more beauty, landscape, and discoveries. Today, Silvia&Vidar offer world travelers a unique, friendly, and creative blend of knowledge about the area and the Northern Lights.
Silvia Eliana Martínez: Born in Argentina, raised in Canada, and now living in Norway, Silvia is an artist interested in the relationship between identity and territory.
Trained in architecture, her practice is based in multimedia. It includes painting, photography, printmaking, and installation work. She is involved in the local artist community. Silvia runs an all volunteer printmaking studio in the artists’ center in Tromsø.
There, she holds workshops for local artists and artists in residences. Every year, she invites an international artist to work at the printmaking studio.
Silvia has a passion for the light in Northern Norway. She loves getting in trouble by getting involved in chaotic art projects.

Vidar Dons Lindrupsen: A native of Tromsø, Vidar holds a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts and Photography from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada). Vidar works in press, portrait and studio photography.
He also practices fine art photography, more specifically landscape and light work. Vidar teaches in Norwegian, English, Spanish and French (and possibly German?.. that would be entertaining :-)
Vidar has a special love for hanging out at frozen beaches, telling fairytales about the Aurora and about the trolls. He sometimes goes into deep existential discussions with himself on which lens is the best to use.
Our guides
Kevin Malcom Denis Blanc
Kevin left France back in 2013, eager to follow his lifelong dream of living amongst the rugged and cold mountains of Norway.
Throughout the years, he learned and sharpened what were once simple hobbies.
During his time in Norway and later on in Hungary, he created and lead a local project named after his very initials, ‘’KMDB Recordings’’.
His goal was to provide free live video sessions for local bands, this helped him acquire essential knowledge for music and video production while helping the local community grow.
Later on, his knowledge naturally led to Photography, a daily passion now reaching its culmination thanks to his role as a guide here at Creative Vacations
From time to time every year, when in need of expression, he also composes music on his own, released under the artist name ‘’Overbaked’’
He’ll make his utmost for you to have the greatest night adventure here in Tromsø!
